Multi-Year Paint Protection

Aircraft ceramic coating.

A true ceramic coating bonds to your paint and protects it for years, not months. Exhaust soot wipes off instead of staining, bugs release with less scrubbing, and UV oxidation slows dramatically. Applied on site at your hangar.

Ceramic packages.

Every coating is quoted per aircraft, based on size and paint condition, and confirmed after we see your paint.

Our Standard

We never coat over oxidation.

A ceramic coating locks in whatever is underneath it. Coat over chalky, oxidized paint and you have sealed that damage in place for years. That is why every Tarmac ceramic package includes a full decontamination wash, clay bar treatment, and at least a single-stage polish before any coating touches the aircraft.

Aircraft paint also is not car paint. It is thinner in places, riveted, and often decades old. We polish with aviation-appropriate pressure and products, and we tell you honestly if your paint needs more correction, or if it is too far gone for a coating to make sense.

What a coating does

Exhaust and oil streaking wipe away with a light touch. Bug remains release faster from leading edges. UV oxidation slows down, which matters for aircraft tied down or hangared near open doors in the California sun. Wash time drops, and gloss stays deeper between details.

What it does not do

A ceramic coating is not armor. It will not stop rock chips, hail, or corrosion, and it does not eliminate washing. It makes every wash faster and keeps the paint you have in better condition for longer. Anyone promising more than that is selling you marketing.

Common Questions

Ceramic coating FAQ.

How long does the application take?

Typically 2 to 3 days depending on aircraft size and paint condition, including prep and cure time before the aircraft should fly or get wet. We schedule around your flying calendar.

Do you come to my airport?

Yes. We are based at Livermore (KLVK) and work across the Bay Area. Coating work needs a hangar or covered space for application and cure.

How do I maintain a coated aircraft?

Regular gentle washes, no abrasive polishing, and no wax on top. Our recurring care plans are built for coated aircraft and keep the coating performing for its full lifespan.

Is my aircraft a candidate?

Most painted aircraft in fair or better condition are. Heavily oxidized or failing paint may need correction first, or may not be worth coating. We will give you a straight answer after seeing the paint.
